Prove What You Know.
Your leadership experience deserves more than a certificate of attendance.
Kim C. Shaw is an RBLP-T (Resilience-Building Leadership Professional, Trainer) and RBLP Authorized Training Partner, offering certification preparation for individuals, teams, and organizations pursuing the RBLP credential.

A leadership training certificate documents completion of a learning program. A professional certification validates defined competencies through an assessment process.
Both have value, and they serve different purposes. RBLP candidates demonstrate their understanding and practical application of resilience-building leadership competencies through a structured oral certification examination.
You’ve developed the experience. You’ve demonstrated the leadership. Now it’s time to prove what you know.
The programs below are well respected for what they do. RBLP serves a different, complementary purpose.
John Maxwell Leadership Programs
Leadership skills, influence, personal growth, coaching, and leadership philosophy.
FranklinCovey
Leadership effectiveness, trust, execution, organizational performance, and leadership behaviors.
ATD and American Management Association
Professional development, education, certificates, and, depending on the program, professional certifications.
University Leadership Programs
Structured education, theoretical foundations, practical learning, and academic credentials.
RBLP Certification
Evaluates resilience-building leadership competencies through an oral examination grounded in the practical application of defined leader tasks.
Leadership development helps people strengthen their capabilities. RBLP certification provides a structured opportunity to validate specified resilience-building leadership competencies. The two approaches complement each other.
The Five Resilience-Building Leader Tasks
The RBLP framework centers on five tasks connected to the everyday work of leaders building adaptable, resilient teams.
RBLP®
Designed for frontline leaders and supervisors.
RBLP-C®
Designed for experienced managers and leaders with broader responsibilities.
RBLP-T®
Designed for senior leaders and those responsible for more advanced organizational leadership responsibilities.
Each level evaluates the competencies appropriate to its scope.
RBLP candidates prepare to discuss and demonstrate their understanding of resilience-building leader tasks through a structured oral examination.
The emphasis is on practical application, not simply recalling information on a multiple-choice test.
Leadership isn’t measured by how many courses you’ve attended. RBLP gives you the opportunity to demonstrate what you know about building resilient teams.
All three levels of RBLP certification carry college credit recommendations from the American Council on Education (ACE).
RBLP®
Frontline / New & Aspiring Managers
3 semester hours, lower-division baccalaureate level, in Team Leadership.
RBLP-C®
Experienced Managers
3 semester hours, upper-division baccalaureate level, in Managerial Leadership.
RBLP-T®
Senior Managers
3 semester hours, upper-division baccalaureate level, in Applied Leadership.
ACE credit recommendations do not guarantee that a particular college or university will award transfer credit. Acceptance is determined by the receiving institution.
I bring more than 40 years of leadership, human resources, organizational development, and people development experience to this work.
I am also a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Teacher, Trainer, and Speaker, and I stand firmly behind John Maxwell’s leadership principles.
I believe experienced leaders deserve the opportunity to have their existing competencies independently evaluated and recognized. That is why I also stand behind RBLP certification.
Leadership development builds capability. Professional certification validates demonstrated competency. I don’t see these as competing approaches. They serve complementary purposes, and my commitment to RBLP comes from understanding both sides of that equation.
I am an RBLP-T credential holder and an authorized RBLP Certification Prep trainer. My preparation services help candidates understand the certification framework, organize their leadership examples, and prepare for the oral examination.
InspiringYOU! Enterprises provides certification preparation services. The RBLP credential itself, along with its exam requirements and standards, is awarded by RBLP, independent of InspiringYOU! Enterprises. Preparation services do not guarantee certification.
